The Equipment Coordinator is responsible for packing and unpacking shipments as well as the distribution of products for the education, conferences and publications departments.  This role is responsible for making sure the shipments are packed and shipped according to the equipment needed, date needed and allowing for shipping time.  This role will be responsible for maintaining the course equipment and checking it as it comes back from courses as well as checking the equipment at the training centers.  This role will utilize a warehouse management system to assist in the packing and tracking inventory.



ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Pack and unpack all materials for education courses based on the packing lists received for each course using the warehouse management system.
  • Pack and ship all publication orders and conference materials.
  • Schedule and track Education course shipments for delivery and return in support of the organization courses domestically and internationally.
  • Troubleshoot issues with shipments and determine best plan to ensure the shipment arrives at the location.
  • Verify and update electronic course records and shipping information for reporting and documentation.
  • Use the warehouse management system to track inventory and the on hand count, including but not limited to yearly inventory counts.
  • Deliver materials to Elcometer classrooms and replenishing the supply closet in support of weekly training classes.
  • Deliver and pickup mail and packages from the HQ building.
  • Serve as a lead and single point of resolution for any problems with shipping in order to allow courses to reach their destination by the requested arrival date.
  • Develop and maintain appropriate quality documentation along with tracking quality metrics and issues in the Distribution Center.

  • Ability to stand up to 7 hours a day while packing courses
  • Ability to lift and move equipment and boxes around the warehouse up to 25 lbs.
  • Computer knowledge – MS Word, Excel, etc.
  • Self-starter, little to know direction needed
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Troubleshooting abilities


Minimal travel is expected for this position.



  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience in Microsoft Office and Excel
  • Experience in Logistics, Purchasing, and/or Inventory Management within a service-oriented environment utilizing a Warehouse Management System such as SoloChain, preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license



Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, members, employees of the organization, customers, and the general public.



Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, etc. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. Ability to develop and interpret business graphs.



Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, verbal, diagram, or schedule form.
